Trying to be a kinder person, one day at a time.

Volunteering in the UK

There are plenty of brilliant ways to get involved in your local community, or perhaps on a greater national or international level.
You could help by working in a charity shop, volunteering in local schools, or maybe collecting donations for a cause you really care about. And it doesn't have to stop there; you could eventually even set up your own organisation, and whilst it will take a lot of work, your enthusiasm, passion and commitment will go a long way to helping other people. There is a wealth of opportunities, no matter what you want to help with.

However, please do bear in mind that some opportunities might have age or qualification restrictions, and often when working with vulnerable people, a CRB check will be required.

For more information, please visit volunteering websites listed in the sidebar or Google.

It's never too late to volunteer, anyone can be one.

It's never too late to use your abilities for good.
